Back from Hiatus: Let’s Talk About Sigma’s True Victory in MegaMan X4

It’s been a while and over ten months since I last wrote here on Infinite Odyssey Nexus. Life got busy, new job, other commitments started to pile up, traveling to Japan, sharpening my writing skills, and before I knew it, almost a year had flown by without a single post. Now, I’m back and I couldn’t think of a better way to return than diving straight into one of my favorite gaming series: MegaMan.

This time, I’ve written a very first special piece of gaming commentary in Retroverse Odyssey Nexus about MegaMan X4. Specifically, what I call “Sigma’s True Victory.”

On the surface, X and Zero defeat Sigma once again, as they always do. However, beneath all of these contains something more insidious where Sigma’s plan succeeds in ways the game never outright tells you. Through manipulation, betrayal, and tragedy, he planted seeds that change the MegaMan X saga forever.

This article explores how X4’s story wasn’t just like the previuos three X games, but rather a hidden turning point where Sigma claimed his greatest, most enduring victory.

I’m excited to be back writing again, and this is just the beginning. Expect more reviews, commentary, and more!
